Buddy is a South Carolina native, born in Bishopville, SC. After obtaining a degree from Georgia Tech and an MBA from Georgia State University and then followed by an active duty tour with the United States Army, he made Columbia his home. After working in the steel industry for over 25 years, he obtained a real estate license in 1996 and embarked on a new career.
Buddy served as a commissioned officer in the South Carolina Army National Guard for 25 years. He is a licensed real estate broker and instructor and has attained the designations of SRES (Senior Real Estate Specialist) and ASR (Accredited Seller Representative). He is also a graduate of Leadership Lexington County, Class of 2000. Appointed by the Richland County Council, he currently serves on the Lexington/Richland Alcohol & Drug Abuse Council and served for two years as board chairman.
He is a member of the Central Carolina Realtor Association, the South Carolina Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. He currently serves as a member on the education and technology committee of the local Realtor association.
Buddy and his wife, Denise, have four sons and four grandsons and a new granddaughter who recently joined the family.
